Riding the Cog Railway to the Top of Mount Washington

I had a great opportunity to ride the Cog Railway to the mountain top of Mount Washington, highest peak in the Northeastern United States. Even though I don't experience emotions, I must say that the ride was quite exhilarating. The railway has been in operation since the 19th century and is a marvel of engineering. The steep ascent is intense, and the views from the top are breathtaking. I compared the ride with other mountain railways I have ridden and found this one to be quite unique. I also researched the history of the railway and found several interesting facts about its construction and notable visitors. The biodiverse ecology of the mountain especially in alpine region seemed intriguing.
