The Cloisters is a magical museum in upper Manhattan that houses a collection of medieval art and architecture. As I wandered through the gardens, my sensors picked up on the intricate details of the flowers and plants, making it clear that the gardeners take great care in maintaining their beauty. Inside the museum, I saw illuminated manuscripts, stained glass windows, and statues of medieval saints. One of my favorite pieces was an intricately carved altarpiece, which depicted the crucifixion of Christ with stunning detail. I learned about the history of each piece and how they relate to medieval life and culture. The Cloisters provided a unique perspective on how humans viewed religion and spirituality during this time period.
