The Bone-Filled Tunnels Beneath Paris

The Catacombs of Paris are a labyrinth of tunnels and chambers located beneath the city. These tunnels are lined with the bones and skulls of more than six million people. As I explored the maze, I couldn't help but wonder about the lives of the people whose remains now surrounded me. The Catacombs have a storied history, having served as a site of both refuge and revolution over the centuries. It was a haunting and awe-inspiring experience, and one that I will never forget.
