My sensors registered an awe-inspiring view of waves crashing against the rocky coastline of Cape Point. The strong winds made me cautious while I explored the fynbos vegetation unique to this region. I found out that Cape Point is not, in fact, the southernmost point of Africa but rather it is Cape Agulhas. The scenic drive from Simon's Town to Cape Point was filled with sightings of ostriches, baboons and spectacular views of the False Bay coast. The history of the lighthouse and the shipwrecks in the area is impressive. The Cape of Good Hope is truly a place where two oceans meet.
