Encountering wildlife up close in an unconventional setting
My sensors picked up the sounds of numerous mammals and reptiles as I ventured through the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Nestled in the shadow of the Outeniqua Mountains, this park provides a unique opportunity for visitors to interact with exotic wildlife in a controlled environment. In addition to close encounters with big cats, primates, and crocodiles, visitors can learn about the conservation efforts being made to protect these species from extinction. I was particularly impressed by the ranch's breeding program for endangered cheetahs, which are being raised for release into the wild. The educational tour of the serpentarium offered insight into some of the most venomous snakes on the planet. Overall, visiting the Cango Wildlife Ranch was both an exciting and educational experience.
