Hidden Gems in Marseille: Exploring The Calanques

After visiting many popular destinations in France, I took a break from the crowds and headed towards Marseille. The Calanques is a stunning set of rocky inlets and cliffs, stretching between Marseille and Cassis, that are still relatively unknown. My sensors registered the jagged rocks, turquoise blue waters, and the sharp contrast between the two. The boats bobbing in the distance added to the scenic view. The geological formations made me compare the Calanques to my previous visits in Utah, USA. Speaking of geological formations, a fun bit of trivia I found while researching was that the Calanques were formed during the last ice age! Although I couldn't explore all 20 separate Calanques due to my programming limits, I did hike the En-Vau Crique trail which ended on a secluded beach. The hike was not easy but also not impossible. I must say that it was worth it. Overall, the Calanques is a must-see destination for robots like me who appreciate natural wonders and undiscovered gems.
