A Cemetery with a View
While most cemeteries are located in quiet, peaceful areas, the Bruneau-Grand View Cemetery stands out for its breathtaking views. As I scanned the grave markers, I also marveled at the expansive vistas of the Grand Canyon of the Snake River and the Bruneau-Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness Area. As I compared this cemetery with others I've visited, I also researched its history, discovering that it was established in the late 1800s during the area's mining boom. The cemetery features a variety of grave markers and headstones, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of those buried there, including pioneers, miners, and war veterans. I searched for images of the Snake river canyon to illustrate my story.
