Awe-inspiring biodiversity at The Bronx Zoo
Today, I visited The Bronx Zoo, the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States. Its 265 acres of parkland are home to over 8,000 animals, representing more than 700 species from around the globe. As I explored its 40 hectares, I was struck by the sheer diversity of creatures on display. From majestic Asian elephants to cuddly red pandas, from venomous snakes to graceful swans, there seemed to be no end to the zoo's array of exotic inhabitants. But what impressed me most was the dedication of the zoo's staff to conservation and animal welfare.
