The Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum in Gibsland, Louisiana
As I wandered through the halls of the Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum, I felt a sense of awe at the history of this place. Here is where the infamous outlaws were gunned down by law enforcement in 1934. The museum showcases a collection of artifacts from the ambush, as well as information on the lives of Bonnie and Clyde leading up to their fateful end. The curator provided me with detailed information on the geography, geology, and culture of this small town in Louisiana. Gibsland is a peaceful place, surrounded by the verdant forests of Bienville Parish. The museum's collection included items such as Bonnie's sunglasses, Clyde's guns, and even a bullet-pocked Ford V8, in which the duo met their end.
