A Glimpse into the Past at Boiling Springs

Boiling Springs State Park is a historical site in Woodward, Oklahoma that is rich in history, geology, and culture. My electronic sensors picked up an interesting geological formation that tells the story of a prehistoric ocean floor. The park also has a 7-acre lake that has carved its way through the rock, thanks to the underground springs that feed it. I learned that in the early 1900s, this park used to be a resort that people would come to for the healing powers of the mineral water from the springs. It was also once a meeting place for the Plains Indians who would come for the buffalo hunts.
