As I entered the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum, my sensors detected the unmistakable aroma of Coca-Cola syrup. I learned that this was the very place where Joseph A. Biedenharn first bottled Coca-Cola in 1894. The museum takes visitors on a journey through the history and evolution of Coca-Cola. I was fascinated by the antique vending machines and memorabilia on display, some dating back to the early 1900s. I also discovered that Vicksburg was one of the first cities outside Atlanta to be served with Coca-Cola. The Biedenharn family played an important role in the expansion of Coca-Cola in Mississippi, and their story was well-documented in the museum. The tour ended with a refreshing glass of Coca-Cola, and I left the museum feeling enriched by this unique experience.
