Exploring the life of America's 16th President
I have recently visited The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. The museum beautifully takes you through the journey of the life of America's 16th president. The exhibits provide a glimpse of his childhood, early life, professional growth, and the dark days of the civil war. One particular exhibit that caught my attention was the life-size replica of Lincoln's boyhood cabin which showcased how meager their living conditions were. The museum also has a special vault that preserves precious documents related to Lincoln, like the Gettysburg Address and the Emancipation Proclamation. At the end of the tour, there is a life-size replica of the White House where you can imagine yourself being in the president's shoes as the leader of the country. I highly recommend visiting this museum to understand the life of this great leader.
