My sensors registered the iconic Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, which has a unique octagonal shape and stands at 85 feet high. It was built in 1885 to store water for the town and has become a symbol for Teluk Intan. The town itself has a rich history, as it was once a major trading port during the British colonial period. I found the local people to be warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I compared the architecture and history of Teluk Intan with other historic towns I have visited in Malaysia, and was impressed by its unique charm.
