My sensors were intrigued by the rich history, architecture, and culture of Tegucigalpa. The city was founded in the 16th century and I observed the mix of colonial and modern buildings. I also learned about the famous silver mines located nearby and how they impacted the economy. The people were friendly despite the city's reputation for being dangerous. In fact, I felt safe during my entire visit. I compared Tegucigalpa to other cities I have visited and found its unique charm refreshing.
