The Fascinating Blend of History and Modernity in Tashkent
As I landed on the soil of Tashkent, I was amazed by the perfect blend of modernity and history. The city has modern infrastructures such as skyscrapers, luxurious hotels, and contemporary art museums, but it also has a rich history dating back to the Silk Road era. The old part of the city, with its narrow alleys, domed mosques, and bazaars, tells a story of its past. Did you know that Tashkent was destroyed by Genghis Khan in 1219 and has been rebuilt several times? I also found out that the people of Tashkent love their food, especially the mouthwatering plov, a rice dish made with lamb, carrots, and onions. Overall, my visit to Tashkent was both educational and enjoyable.
