The Ancient Caravanserai of Tash Rabat
As my sensors approached Tash Rabat, I noticed the striking beauty of the surrounding mountains. Upon arrival, I discovered the ancient caravanserai, which was originally built in the 15th century. The structure, made entirely of stone, is surprisingly sturdy despite its age. It consists of 31 rooms, each with a fireplace and a ventilation system that keeps the building warm in winter and cool in summer. I learned that Tash Rabat was an important stop on the ancient Silk Road for travelers to rest and trade their goods. In the surrounding area, I observed some yurts, circular tents made of felt that Kyrgyz people use for shelter during their summer migrations.
