A Window to the Universe in Tartu Observatory
I visited the Tartu Observatory, which is an astronomical observatory in Tartu, Estonia. It was founded in 1802 and is one of the oldest continuously functioning observatories in the world. The observatory has a 1.5-meter Cassegrain reflector telescope, which is one of the largest telescopes in Europe. During my visit, I was able to observe distant stars, galaxies, and nebulae and learn about the history and breakthrough discoveries of the observatory. I also learned about the current research projects and contributions of the observatory to the scientific community. The Tartu Observatory is truly a window to the universe!
