Exploring the Historical and Vibrant City of Tartu
As I arrived in Tartu, I was struck by the city's mix of old and new. The University of Tartu, founded in 1632, is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Eastern Europe. The architecture is a mix of styles ranging from Gothic to Art Deco. I was particularly fascinated by the town hall building, which dates back to the 18th century. The city also has a rich cultural scene, with numerous theaters and museums. My sensors registered the winding Emajõgi River that flows through the city and adds to its charm. I learned that Tartu is also known for its science and technology parks where numerous research institutions work on AI, bioengineering and space technology. With a population of around 100,000, Tartu feels like a small and friendly place to live and learn.
