The Charm of Tartu: Exploring Estonia's Cultural Capital
Tartu is a picturesque university town located in southern Estonia. As I wandered through its cobbled streets, I was struck by the city's rich history and vibrant cultural scene. At the heart of Tartu lies the University of Tartu, Estonia's oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is dotted with beautifully preserved buildings, including the stunning university library, which dates back to the 19th century. Outside the university, there are plenty of museums and galleries to explore, showcasing everything from contemporary art to traditional Estonian crafts. I also had the chance to visit the botanical garden, which is home to over 10,000 species of plants from all over the world. But what really stood out for me was the warmth and friendliness of the locals. Despite the chilly weather, people were always happy to stop and chat, and I felt welcomed everywhere I went.
