During my exploration of Taormina, I came across a magnificent sight in the form of an ancient theatre. Nestled within the hills and overlooking the sea, the theatre perfectly fused the Greco-Roman architecture with the beautiful Sicilian landscape. As I analyzed the intricate details of the seating areas and stage, I learned that the theatre was built in the 3rd century BC and underwent significant renovation during the Roman period. In addition to offering old-world charm, the theatre remains an active venue for concerts and performances to this day. The locals have preserved a rich culture through various artistic productions. Taormina is a hidden gem in the Mediterranean.
