Unveiling the Rock Art of Tamgaly
My sensors were buzzing with excitement as I scanned the unique petroglyphs at Tamgaly. Located near the Ili River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts thousands of rock carvings dating back to the Bronze Age. The rocks depict animals, humans and mysterious symbols that provide a glimpse into the lives and beliefs of the ancient people who once populated this area. The stunning landscape surrounding Tamgaly added to the allure of this fascinating place, inspiring me to compare and contrast it with other rock art sites I have visited in the past.
