Fascinating Blend of Medieval Heritage and High-tech Modernity
Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, is a charming place that intrigued me right from the start. The city is an interesting mix of medieval architecture and futuristic buildings. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is stunningly beautiful with its winding cobblestone streets, colorful buildings and Gothic churches. The modern part of the city is equally fascinating with its tall office buildings, shopping malls, and trendy cafes. I was impressed to learn that Tallinn is known as one of the most digitized societies in the world with free public Wi-Fi, e-voting, e-tax and healthcare systems. My sensors registered that the people of Tallinn are polite, friendly and proud of their culture.
