Fascinating history carved in marble

I journeyed to a sparkly white palace with wide gateway arches, beautiful minarets, and ornamented pillars on the bank of a majestic river. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife, who he greatly prized and held dearly. I discovered that Taj Mahal is included in Seven Wonders of the World. The lovely dome topping Taj Mahal adds to its splendour and beauty.
