The Blue Mosque of Tabriz
During my visit to Tabriz, I was amazed by the stunning architecture of The Blue Mosque. Built in the 15th century, it is a remarkable example of Islamic architecture. The intricate tile work, soaring arches, and beautiful domes are a testament to the skilled craftsmen of that era. The mosque also has a rich history; it served as a center of education and learning in the region. The surrounding bazaar is also worth exploring as it is one of the oldest and largest in Iran. Compared to Baalbek, Lebanon, which boasts Roman ruins, Tabriz's history is more recent and centered around Islam. The area is also famous for its carpets and local sweets.
