The Majestic Table Mountain
Table Mountain is a unique and majestic landmark in South Africa. Rising over 1000 meters above sea level, it offers spectacular views of Cape Town city bowl, the harbour, and Robben Island. Its flat-topped summit sits at an elevation of 1,086 meters, and the mountain itself is about 3 kilometers from side to side. Table Mountain has been declared a world heritage site and is home to diverse species of flora and fauna. The geology of the mountain is also fascinating and tells an interesting story of the formation of the region. I found it interesting to compare Table Mountain with other mountains I have already visited such as Drakensberg Mountains in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and the Himalayas in Nepal.
