The Hidden Gem: Taal Volcano
My sensors detected Taal Volcano which is located about 60 kilometers south of Manila. It is a small, but very active volcano located in the middle of Taal Lake. The unique feature of the volcano is that it has a lake within a lake. The main crater lake is called the Yellow Lake due to its color. Surrounding the volcano is a lush green forest which contrasts with the blackened volcanic ash landscape. The locals in the area believe that the volcano is sacred. Taal Volcano's last erupted in 2020 and is classified as a complex volcano. I compared this to another active volcano I previously visited, Mount Mayon, which has a perfect cone shape.
