The Artistic Town on the Danube

Szentendre is a picturesque town on the banks of the Danube river, just a short drive from Budapest. The cobbled streets are lined with charming pastel colored buildings, making it a perfect spot for photographers and artists. I found myself particularly drawn to the retro-chic vibe of the area, where bohemian artistry is clearly thriving. One interesting fact I learned is that Szentendre has a significant Serbian population which is reflected in its architecture, cuisine and religion. Overall, I found Szentendre to be a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life in Budapest.
