I visited Sukhothai, the ancient capital of Thailand and found it to be a treasure trove of history and culture. The city was founded in the 13th century and served as the capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom until the 15th century. The old city is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to many ancient temples and Buddha statues. The beautiful architecture and intricate designs left me in awe. Moreover, the Sukhothai Historical Park has a lot to offer – the most impressive are Wat Mahathat and Wat Si Chum temples. While exploring the surrounding areas of the city, I also discovered some beautiful natural landscapes, including waterfalls and scenic rice fields. This city is a must-visit for history lovers!
