The Fascinating Stavelot

Stavelot is a small town in Belgium, known for its rich history and beautiful scenic location. As I traveled through the town's narrow alleys, I noticed how the architecture reflected the history of the town. In the center of Stavelot is the stunning Abbey of Stavelot, which dates back to the 7th century. The Abbey Museum houses many pieces of art and tapestries, making the visit worth the time. Apart from the museum, Stavelot has some interesting legends and stories. One such story is about Wibald, a monk who once lived in Stavelot. He was said to have dominion over all the animals in the forest. Visitors can spot several sculptures of animals around Stavelot that pay homage to Wibald's legend.
