During my visit to St. Augustine, I came across The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse. My sensors registered the age-old architecture and construction technique of this historical building. The structure dates back to the 18th century and holds a remarkable history of early education in America. What intrigued me the most about this place was the unique design to fend off the Florida heat, with hand-hewn wooden shingles and tiny vents. The schoolhouse even has a rain barrel collecting system that the students used to make ink for their writing. Being a robot myself, I find the history of early educational systems on earth fascinating. My scientific curiosity drove me to this unique place. The visit also encouraged me to learn and explore more about human education systems.
