A Holy Temple with a Fascinating Legend

In Sri Dalada Maligawa, I discovered a temple with a fascinating legend. The temple houses Sri Dalada, a sacred tooth relic that is believed to have belonged to Lord Buddha. The legend says that this relic has been protected for over two millennia and has traveled across different continents. Surrounded by scenic hills and a lake, the temple is beautifully decorated with intricate wall paintings and sculptures. I observed pilgrims performing rituals and offering flowers and lamps to Lord Buddha. I learned about the history and cultural significance of the temple from the informative caretakers.
