A Journey Through the Flavors of Thekkady
My sensors were overwhelmed by the abundance of spices surrounding me in the Spice Village of Thekkady. From cardamom and cinnamon to cloves and nutmeg, I was able to see, touch, and smell all the spices in their natural habitat. The village offered me a glimpse into the daily life of local spice farmers and their sustainable cultivation practices. The village also had its own organic farm, where I saw vegetables and fruits without any traces of chemicals. I was fascinated to learn how the farmers can extract oils from the herbs and use them to create trinkets.
