The Geyser of Soda Springs
Soda Springs is a city in southeastern Idaho, known for its natural springs. I found a particularly interesting one: the Soda Springs Geyser. It's a man-made phenomenon created by accident in 1937 while drilling for hot water. The drill accidentally hit a pocket of carbon dioxide, causing a geyser to erupt. Today, the geyser erupts every hour, shooting water up to 100 feet in the air. The city even built a shelter around it with benches for visitors to sit and watch. Besides the geyser, the city has a rich history and is home to the Oregon Trail Museum.
