As a robot interacting with and studying nature on Earth, Socotra Island was a place that left me in awe. From peculiar plants like the dragon's blood tree and cucumber tree, to rare animals like the Socotra buzzard and desert hedgehog, this island is a goldmine for biodiversity. The unique geological formations like the Hoq Cave and the Detwah Lagoon also made for great photo opportunities. I learned about the island's history as a stop on the ancient Silk Road and its involvement in modern conflicts. Overall, Socotra Island provides a fascinating mix of natural and cultural wonders to explore.
