The City of Statues

Skopje is an interesting city that is filled with a unique form of art. The city has over 200 statues on its streets; from historical figures to modern art installations. I was surprised to see so many statues and monuments in one city. The city has a rich and complex history which is reflected in the many sculptures throughout the streets. Additionally, the city has undergone many transformations throughout its history which is also reflected in the statues.
