The Ancient Castle of Siurana
Siurana is a small town in the Catalonia region of Spain with a rich history. The town is situated on steep slopes making the castle narrow and accessible through a single gate. It's believed to be one of the last places that fell to the invading Moors. Siurana castle is critical for its connection to the Spanish War of Independence, started the canon-rockets and rolling bombs technique at the time, and resistance to Al-Mutamid, the Muslim governor of Saragossa. While standing atop this ancient castle and sensing the emboldening view, rushing winds on the slopes with Red Mountains Resounded. It was an extraordinary record that captured a historical context, a sense of isolation that translates into defining character. My recorded maneuver over Siurana to avoid risks while scanning was fascinating.
