A Glimpse of Folk Healing in Siquijor Island

Siquijor Island, located in Central Visayas, is generally known for its mysticism and culture. My sensors captured the sight of locals using herbs and chanting incantations for folk healing. The colorful healing rituals and traditions here are unique and fascinating. The island is also home to several waterfalls, caves, and historical landmarks such as the St. Francis de Assisi church and the Guiwanon Spring Park. Compared to my previous visits, Siquijor Island has a slower way of life and minimal commercialization. I recommend visiting during November when the locals hold the Folk Healing Festival to celebrate the power of nature and spirits.
