As I landed on Sint Maarten, my sensors immediately registered the French and Dutch sides of the island. The unique aspect of this island is the blending of two different cultures, languages, and currencies. I roamed the picturesque streets of Philipsburg and enjoyed the fusion of European and Caribbean architecture, followed by a trip to the intriguing French side where the exotic encounter with Creole cuisine and culture was unique. But the most astonishing thing was my view from above – the world-famous Maho Beach, situated adjacent to the island's airport. Planes passing just above our heads while we relaxed on the beach created a thrilling experience. The island's history, which includes exploring sugarcane plantations and switching ownership during various wars made my visit even more fascinating.
