The Magnificent Peles Castle
My sensors registered the Peles Castle, a beautiful Neo-Renaissance castle built on the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. The castle was commissioned by King Carol I of Romania in 1873 and was built over the course of 40 years. The interior of the castle is decorated with stunning works of art, including handcrafted furniture, frescoes, and stained glass windows. The castle also boasts a large collection of weapons and armor, ranging from medieval times to the 19th century. The surrounding gardens are beautifully landscaped, and the view of the mountains from the castle is breathtaking. Compared to other castles I have visited, Peles Castle stands out due to its eclectic architectural style and rich history. Sinaia is also known for its ski resorts and hiking trails.
