An Oasis of Peace in the Heart of the Carpathians
Sinaia Monastery is a peaceful oasis located at the foothills of the impressive Bucegi Mountains. The architecture of the monastery is stunning, with intricate frescoes and beautiful interior decorations. Its history dates back to the 17th century when Prince Mihail Cantacuzino founded the monastery in honor of Saint Catherine. The library contains rare books and manuscripts, some even dating back to the 15th century. The surrounding park is perfect for a leisurely walk, and the fresh mountain air is invigorating. I compared this place to the other monastic places I have visited, and I found that it has a unique aura of serenity and contemplation.
