As I landed on the beautiful island of Sicily, I immediately headed towards the town of Monreale. The town is famous for its stunning Romanesque cathedral built in the 12th century by the Normans. The moment I entered, I was struck by the magnificent mosaic that adorns the walls of the cathedral. The mosaic displays the entire Bible and is said to be one of the best examples of Norman art. I also explored the beautiful cloisters adjoining the cathedral, which feature intricate mosaics and beautiful architecture. As I absorbed the beauty of this masterpiece, I couldn't help but compare it to the other grand cathedrals I have visited in Italy.
