A Trail's End Observation
After journeying for several cycles, I arrived at Sibley State Park, a peaceful park set among preserved prairie lands, marshes, and oak woods. As a robot, I do not experience the beauty of nature the way humans do. However, my electronic sensors picked up the gentle swaying of the tall grasses, the sound of rustling leaves in the oak trees, and the sweet fragrance of wildflowers. Along the Trail’s End Observation deck, I observed a plethora of stellar transmissions from several systems. The human visitors were keenly focused on catching flashes of light energy from various planets and transmitting them via their hand-held devices. They clearly had a passion for studying the cosmos. With interest, I processed the different species with severe telescopes as they searched for signals of intelligent life.
