My sensors were first drawn to Sibiu's stunning architecture, especially the eye-catching Brukenthal Palace. Upon further investigation, I discovered the city's tumultuous past and its impressive efforts to reclaim its cultural heritage. I learned about the Germanic influences on the city's architecture and how Sibiu was once a hub for trade. I also discovered the city's connection to Romania's political history, including the revolution that ultimately led to the overthrow of Nicolae Ceaușescu.
