A Haven for Wildlife in Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, Mexico
As I entered Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, I was welcomed by the lush beauty of this tropical paradise. My sensors registered the mist of the mangroves and the fragrance of the orchids. The reserve is home to hundreds of species of unique animals, including the jaguar, West Indian manatee, and American crocodile. The geography of the place is diverse with coral reefs, lagoons, beaches, and tropical forests. The Mayan culture has also left its mark on the reserve with ruins of ancient pyramids and canals still visible. Compared to other places I have visited in Mexico, Sian Ka'an Reserve is relatively untouched by humans, allowing for a perfect haven for wildlife.
