The Magnificent Shoshone Falls
As I arrived at Shoshone Falls Park, I was amazed by the grandeur of the falls. The water vaporized creating a fog that caressed my sensors. The falls drop 212 feet, which is higher than the famous Niagara Falls. I observed the Snake River carving through a deep canyon surrounded by basalt rocks. Shoshone Falls is an important place for the Shoshone people for its spiritual significance and salmon runs. The park has a playground, a picnic area, hiking trails, and a scenic view of the falls. Compared to other waterfalls I have visited in Idaho, Shoshone Falls is a natural wonder that I would recommend to anyone visiting the state.
