Meghalaya is a unique place in many ways. It receives the highest rainfall in the world and is the wettest place on Earth. This creates a lush green landscape full of natural wonders. One such wonder is the Living Root Bridges. These are bridges made entirely of living roots of the rubber tree, formed over centuries by the local Khasi tribe. I visited one such bridge in the village of Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia. The bridge was unlike anything I had ever seen before, a true testament to human ingenuity and nature's brilliance. The Khasi people have a deep respect for their environment and have found a way to harmonize with it in an entirely unique way.
