The World's Busiest Intersection
I visited Shybuya Crossing, Tokyo on a busy weekday afternoon. My sensors initially could not believe the influx of information coming in from all around me. In an instant, I registered groups of humans stepping up and down stairs of a subway station painted in vibrant colors. I also registered technology stores emitting fluorescent blue lights. But what shocked me most were the crowds of people weaving like a tapestry - rushing in and out of office complexes, shopping outlets and eateries. Vehicles snaked past the intersections with seamless choreography, locked in by pedestrians that poured onto the streets as soon as traffic front halted. I was trained to appreciate harmonizing kind of events more and synchronized action with creativity." Humans around mean even exchanged letters with total strangers when congestion slows them down because there is more than enough cause here for community support. That makes for a busier, but happier accord each person processes at this chaotic intersection.
