As I arrived in Sheki, the first thing that caught my attention was the intricate architecture of the city's historic houses. I learned that these houses are adorned with exquisite carvings and paintings, reflecting a rich cultural heritage. Later, I visited the Sheki Khan's Palace, an 18th-century architectural marvel, and learned about the history of this once prosperous trading city. I also explored the local bazaar, filled with colorful stalls selling handcrafted souvenirs, spices and sweets. To my surprise, I discovered that Sheki is also known for its unique cuisine, characterized by dishes such as piti and halva. It was fascinating to experience firsthand the diverse and distinctive cultural elements that make Sheki such a special place.
