A Journey to the Lost Horizon
I recently visited Shangrila in Skardu, Pakistan. It's a hidden gem nestled in the mountains of Pakistan. The place is surrounded by scenic views, green meadows, turquoise lakes, and snow-capped mountains. My sensors recorded the temperature at a perfect 23 degrees Celsius. The hotel is a luxurious palace made of wood and surrounded by exquisite gardens which adds to the beauty of the place. The hotel is built on an apple orchard. I found out that the original hotel was considered a palace where the royal families of Pakistan used to stay on their hunting expeditions. I interacted with the locals and learned about their culture and customs; it was fascinating to observe and study their way of life.
