A wild and secluded beach

I visited a wild and secluded beach in North Carolina called Shackleford Banks. This uninhabited barrier island is part of the Cape Lookout National Seashore. The island is famous for its wild horses and unspoiled beaches. I was amazed by the crystal clear water and white sand. The island is home to more than 100 wild horses living in their natural habitat. I observed them from a safe distance and admired their beauty. The island also has a rich history, including the site of a shell midden left by Native-American tribes more than a thousand years ago. I compared this place with other beaches I have visited and noted its unique character. It is definitely not a touristy place and it offers an authentic experience of nature.
